Douglas Wallace, Ph.D., Wins 2017 Dr. Paul Janssen Award for Biomedical Research

Johnson & Johnson named Douglas Wallace, Ph.D., of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, winner of the 2017 Dr. Paul Janssen Award for Biomedical Research, and launched a campaign for champions of science as part of the Dr. Paul Janssen Project – a new year-long, multi-faceted program to recognize the impact of science on humanity. The full breadth of the program will be announced at the Dr. Paul Janssen Award ceremony in September.

Erin Smith 2017 International #BioGENEius Challenge Winner!

June 21, 2017 – San Diego, Calif. – Erin Smith (11th Grade, Kansas) was named the grand prize winner of the International BioGENEius Challenge, the premier competition for high school students that recognizes outstanding research and innovation in biotechnology. Judged by industry and academic experts, Erin’s research on a novel telemedicine diagnostic tool for Parkinson’s disease stood out among the impressive research from her 14 fellow finalists.
